PROGRAM

Ko Im, an award-winning storyteller and multidisciplinary artist, will perform a trio of interconnected poems on the themes of falling, rising and aligning. She writes deeply from the edges of her comfort zone. Liana Kleinman will perform an inspired dance from Ko’s poetry.

Christopher Stout is a New York-based artist and curator. He will perform “Monochrome,” a short, repetitive movement piece referencing the work of Louis Kahn and investigating beauty as achieved by simple and recurrent gestures.

Maria Dimanshtein is a New York-based poet and visual artist. She will read from her debut book of poetry and drawings titled “Expect the Be(a)st.” Written for the age of short attention spans, her poems are conveniently sized at one or two sentences. Humorous, personal and often sinister, they talk about the search for meaning, loneliness, feeling lost in a big city, romance in the age of apps, depression, God and fear of death.

To celebrate Kahn’s work and his interest in ceremony and processional paths, everyone is invited to walk together from the gallery to Four Freedoms Park to enjoy the sunset and Micah Frank's site-specific soundwalk.
